Although the Sun is officially in Aries, joined by the Moon (of course, it's a new Moon!), Chiron and Mercury, much of the focus of this lunation is still in Pisces. Venus retrograde is finishing up her business there, making sure that Saturn and Neptune leave nothing undone on their way out. This eclipse in the first sign of Aries marks new beginnings fueled by raw energy, initiation, and deep transformation. With Neptune entering Aries just hours later, this lunation sets the stage for a shift in spiritual identity, collective awakening, and personal reinvention. Mercury retrograde at the last degree of Pisces (29º) meets Neptune in a portal-like moment, performing a switcharoo that may feel like blurring the lines between past and future. This reminds me of the feeling of my feet sinking into the sand at the edge of the waves on the beach while the water moves in 2 directions simultaneously.

This shift will be for an extended period, and although Neptune will retrograde back into Pisces for several months later this year, by late January 2026, he will transition to Aries where he will reside for the next 14 years.
